Cloud computing is the latest and the greatest trend in this mobile computing era. The last decade was spent in building Web2.0 technology that people took with great passion. Blogging was like hitting the jackpot for not only the online fanatics but also for people who want to share their ideas, feelings, pictures of their latest vacation and videos of coke and mentos. But the biggest and the greatest invention was “Social Networking”. It was blessing in disguise. People have embraced this networks as they did to their first teddy-bear or like their first TV set. Within the matter of time they got addicted to these online phenomena.
Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand, like the electricity grid. Facebook and Twitter are the two mafias running that rules the private lives of millions. Earlier days news used to spread like wildfires through word of mouth but now-a-day within the click of a button the fire already diminishes leaving behind the ashes and smoke.
Social networking is now no more about meeting old friends and sharing events but it has become the latest weapon for every small and big companies to market their product as well their company. Forget about TV commercials, entertainment companies thrive on these media channels.
Small and up-coming companies are so blinded by these cloud computing that they often forget to evaluate their product to the fullest. It doesn’t matter if the main objective of the product is fulfilled or not. They just want to put their product poping in front of the consumers every single time and they will spend their fortune.
I am not saying social media marketing is bad but if small companies give more time to their product functionality than how their product looks with those mascara and foundation then they will see growth, the real one.
